Day 3 Of Leika's Insane Diet
So it's been 2 whole days, and a few hours, since I had any meat, wheat, dairy, fast food, table salt & sugar, coffee, pop, herbs and spices, candy, chocolate, ice cream, etc. etc. etc. Only veggies and fruit and water. Limiting certain fruit more than the vegetables. I guess you could call it a vegeterian, or even vegan... but it's more than that, because there's no grain. Hum I'd come up with a term for it, but for now, it's 'vitimin enriched starvation'. At the same time, it's not starvation, because I am eating, but veggies don't exactly make you feel full, so I feel hungry all the time. I'm not a food expert or nutritionist, therefor I have no clue what, good or bad, my body is no longer reciving. For example calcium... is there a veggie or fruit that I could be eating? Probably, like bananas or something. Maybe it's time to get into research about this and that.
Even though it's only been 3 days, I do feel a bit down, tired, unenergetic and sleepy. That's because my body's addiction to a high sugar, high saturated fat, high carb, and then some, has been.... almost completely cut off. It'll probably get worse, before it gets better. It's like detox. You have to start getting used to a lower calorie intake.
Alot of people will disaprove of this. But it's my life, I'm strong willed and stubborn, and what the hell do you know about me.

[21 Apr 2006|11:49pm] |
First, I'd like to thank all my internet friends for deleting me as a buddy. But it's only reasonable to, because I haven't updated in a LONG time. Haha.
So I've just recently got my acceptance letter from verious colleges. I chose to go to Georgian, in Barrie ON. I'm moving there in September '06. It'll be an adventure. I get to have 5 suite(room) mates. It's about 20 minutes away from Wasaga Beach, and we all know what that means. Hah now that I'm 19, and I'm allowed everywhere and all that stuff that comes with being 19, I actually don't want to, or don't care for it. Funny how that works.
Maybe it's because I constantly talk to Nick and Johnny, and they keep me sane. Maybe I just grew out of it. I think I'm in a better place than last year when it comes to that. But at the same time, now that that's balanced, there's other stuff falling apart. Guess that's just life.
Well time for bed. Working tomorrow! Heh.

Ok the last entry was whack. I like to ramble.
So... I get to see Thrice in a few days. I was gonna play Dustin in Warcraft but he's a level 33 orc Warrior. Nerd. Oh... Circa Survive is playing that show, so I finally get to find out about the mysterious Anthony Green. Ooooo.
So basically school ends in 6 days or so. It was awesome. But I'm changing majors, so now I don't know what I'm doing for the next 9 months 'til September '06. Working! I make good money at the optical place, so why not. Maybe I'll travel a bit.

| The First Scene Kid EVER: Charles |
[23 Nov 2005|11:25pm] |
(full story) by: Angelika
Once upon a time, not too long ago… probably in the early 80’s (when most of you were learning how to crawl), there was a boy named Charles. Charles was (almost) an average boy, he was about 13 at the time. He had long beautiful wavy hair, just like his metal head dad. He wasn’t very popular at all, in fact, the children at his school often bullied him because he wasn’t nearly as muscular and strong as all the other boys his age. On Saturday morning, while all the other boys and girls were waking up with a hangover from last night’s party, Charles was up and mowing his neighbours lawn for a bit of extra cash. Suddenly he tripped over a rock and fell on his face. The lawnmower rode right over his head. He got up, and he was fine. But, he noticed all his beautiful hair was now all over the grass. He started to cry. Much to his dismay, the front of his hair was longer than he back. He decided to go to Shoppers Drug Mart and buy hair dye to make it look like he really wanted a huge change in hairstyle. He chose black…because it was on sale. On Monday, Charles dressed in his usual attire: a pair of old jeans from when he was 7, and some random t-shirt that said “Aren’t We Friends On MySpace?”. He was too poor to afford new clothes, but it didn’t matter. The old jeans were a little tight, but not tight enough for him to suffocate and die. As he entered the school, everyone was starring at him. He felt very alone. He made it to his first class and sat in the back row. “Hi welcome to our school”, said a little girl with red pigtails and a Nsync shirt, “I’m Suzie”. Charles ignored her. Suzie turned to her friend. “Jen, look, he must be the new exchange student from Japan, I don’t think he knows English.” Jen sighed, “He’s soooo hott”. Charles understood everything they were saying. How could they not remember him? He isn’t asian. And he’s never been considered hot, EVER. He went about his day, with people introducing themselves and asking him to sit with them. When he got home, he felt good about all his newfound attention. The next day it seemed like everyone was his friend. A few of the boys, and even some girls, cut their hair exactly like his! The girls wouldn’t leave him alone. Always asking, “Are you on MySpace?”, “Can I touch you leg?”, and some of them even bought Japanese dictionaries to try to talk to him in “his” native tongue. Sometimes he still felt very alone, because he didn’t want anyone to know that he speaks English. He would go home and paint his nails back, listen to Dashboard Confessional, Hawthrone Heights, and when he was angry, he listened to Atreyu and Death Below The Dying Twisted River With A Hornless Unicorn. A lot of the times he would practice all his karate moves that he used to take for protection from all the bullies, to the hardcore music. He called it the art of throwdown. It’s when you spinkick and powerpunch the living daylights out of an imaginary opponent. The third day at school, everyone had ‘cool hair’, everyone had tight pants with their penis tucked down a pantleg (depending if you had a penis) and everyone had the new Fall Out Boy CD, and a cool looking My Chemical Romance shirt (you know, the one with blood and suicidal lyrics about some 70 year old lady by the name of Helena, who was a ballerina, but she wasn’t ok, and she was shot on the beach of Normendy while vampires flew about and totally creeped out everyones parents). Charles was frightened of all of this. He quickly came home and the first thing he did was log into his MySpace account. He has 2827 new friend requests, and 927 new comments “thanking him” for the adds from the previous days. He noticed every time he clicked accept, the next person had the exact same hair, and then the next, and the rest too. Everyone was just like everyone. Charles was very frightened. The only real reason everyone liked him was, because they thought he was from Japan. And everyone knows Japan people made Nintendo, and flat screen Sony TV’s, and cool video games, and they probably invented Dragon Ball Z, Pokemon, and every bloody anime show there is! And since Charles “was” from Japan, he was the ULTIMATE cool person ever. On the fourth day, on his way to school, Charles was hit by a ten ton truck… . . . . . . . … and he died… . . . . . . … a painful death where your brains go down your throat and you swallow them, and blood gushes out your nose… . . . . . . . …. and kids playing slip’n’slide are watching, and the dogs are barking… and the your bones are mushy and you totally feel bummed… cuz you’re very dead. None of the kids really heard about what happened to him. Some say he went back to Japan and invented X-Box 360. Some think he became a transgender dancer and is now on tour with Gwen Stefani. Some believe he ran away to Canada and formed a band called Dead And Divine (who totally fucking rock hard, thanks to Charles!). And the rest of the kids….. well they don’t really give a fuck. They still cut their hair like Charles, and listen to UnderOath, and are totally fucking happy like that.
The end.

[01 Nov 2005|05:18pm] |
I now truely believe that 2005 will go down as the worst year the world has seen in a long time. So many deaths.
- Starting with the tsunami that hit Asia 5 days before the new years, killing over 283,000 people. - February: A magnitude 6.4 earthquake in central Iran shook more than 40 villages, killing at least 612 people - February: Extreme winter weather including cold, snowfall, avalanches, and flooding in Afghanistan, India, and Pakistan killed more than 1,400 people. - March: A magnitude 8.7 earthquake, off the west coast of Sumatra, killed 1313 in the islands of Nias and Simeulue. - June: Widespread flooding, particularly in southern China, killed 536. - July: A week of relentless monsoon rains left 1,000 dead in western India. - Famine caused by drought and locusts have left more than 3.6 million people in Niger facing starvation since November '04. - August: Hurricane Katrina, a Category 4 hurricane and one of the most powerful to hit the U.S, killing over 1200 people. - October: Hurricane Stan brought landslides and floods to El Salvador, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Honduras, and Mexico, killing more than 1000. - October: 7.6 earthquake centered in the Pakistani-controlled part of the Kashmir region killed more than 80,000.
And this is only talking about natural disasters. I haven't even started with the wars and accidents.

// After getting out of one of the pits at the Vans Warped Tour this past summer, I found the Bayside tent and stood in front. There was no one else at the table. And I couldn't find Cassidy or Andrew, my friends. I think it was fate. After what seemed like a couple of minutes, a conversation started. John, Jack and I talked about our hometowns, the tour, and all the bands we wanted to see that day. It's kinda weird how quick I've learned to love Bayside so much, and how much they mean to me. Their latest record was the soundtrack to my summer. I would take the CD to work with me, and no matter how boring the day got, I could just sing along to Bayside. Music is important to me, and behind this music there are real people, with families and friends who are now missing a loved one. You'll be missed John, by more people then you'll ever know. <333 Nick, I hope you're ok. My heart's with all of you, the crew involved, your family and your friends. My dear dear Bayside. I may not be seeing you November 30th anymore, but I know I'll see you again soon, and Beatz soon enough too. R.I.P.

| ...the only thing that matters is just following your heart... |
[10 Sep 2005|05:41pm] |
Here in this diary,
I write you visions of my summer.
It was the best I ever had.
There were choruses and sing-alongs,
and that unspoken feeling
of knowing that right now is all that matters.
All the nights we stayed up talking
listening to 80's songs;
and quoting lines from all those movies that we love.
It still brings a smile to my face.
I guess when it comes down to it...
Being grown up isn't half as fun as growing up:
These are the best days of our lives.
The only thing that matters
is just following your heart
and eventually you'll finally get it right.
Breaking into hotel swimming pools,
and wreaking havoc on our world.
Hanging out at truck stops just to pass the time.
The black top's singing me to sleep.
Lighting fireworks in parking lots,
illuminate the blackest nights.
Cherry cokes under this moonlit summer sky.
2015 Riverside, it's time to say, "goodbye."
Get on the bus, it's time to go.

[07 Sep 2005|11:26pm] |
So today was my second day. I didn't even write about the first day... oh well.
IT
IS
AWESOME!
So it's in Toronto, and it's not far from where I live. The people are really nice. The buildings are really pretty inside. It's like historic buildings... but modern inside. Which is really cool. And it's on the lake. And I got my parking, but I have to wait to get my car on the 12th. So I'm hitching rides and using transit til then. ... And then I'll have to learn how to park... which I know how... but I still hate doing it around other peoples cars. Haha.... I mean try parking inbetween a Jaguar and some top of the line Mercedes. So anyways I have no pictures of college. But here's a pic Matt took of a frog I was holding at some concert at the Masonic in Streetsville.

[10 Aug 2005|09:30pm] |
This is what I'm doing these next 4 days, with my partner in crime Cassidy:

And this is what I'm doing on the 26th of October, also with my mosh buddy Cassidy:
w/ The Bled, Veda and Underoath.
So yeah here's a little itsy bitsy update. Summer's been going great, doing nothing specific... hanging out, reading books... I'm reading one called 'On A Pale Horse' by Piers Anthony. It's about a boy named Zane who shoots Death, and soon discovers that it was a huge mistake, for the man who kills the Incarnation of Death is immediately forced to assume Death's job. So he speeds over the world riding a pale horse, ending the lives of others. It's really interesting... I like it.
Oh and I've watched so many movies this week it's rather strange for me. Like everything from Terminator movies to Care Bear episodes, to romances like Gone With The Wind, to Ashton Kutcher comedies. Haha.
Lately I've been listening to alot of Thunderbirds Are Now!, Thrice's Artist In The Ambulence (again), Death By Stereo and Bloc Party's Silent Album. But this morning Johnny sent me Every Time I Die's new album, and 2 new Coheed & Cambria songs, off of their new record Good Apollo, I'm Burning Star IV: Volume 1, which will rock everyone's socks because so far it's sounding really good.
Speaking of Johnny, he got my Mars bar package!! =] Apperently he watched the Thrice DVD a dozen times, but it's just that good.
I'm out of dried cranberries =[ but I hope to buy some soon when I'm at the Nut 'n' Spice store this weekend. Haha yep I'm addicted!!
We're supposed to go to Rochester, NY, sometime soon. I CAN'T WAIT! It'll be fun to go somewhere far (except it's not far enough). I can finally get some hot American ass.
That's is it for now! Cheers, //angelika

She cried when she found it. It's feathers were matted and pressed to its side. It's wings were no longer able. Still she begged it to fly. It's body as frail as paper and wet from her tears.
